BOOK COACHING

Are you ready to put your whole heart into becoming an author?

If you dream of writing a meaningful book that truly impacts your readers, read on.

I work very closely with my authors to help them write books and proposals that will wow literary agents and publishers.

To provide the highest level of mentorship I can, I only take on a select few clients at a time. I usually have a 3-4 month waitlist, so apply early.

Is this you? You have something to say and you’re passionate about sharing it, but…

  • You have no idea how to navigate the publishing industry.

  • You aren’t sure if your ideas are as original or exciting as you hope.

  • You’re worried that your platform isn’t big enough.

  • You love the idea of being an author, but you don’t know if your writing is any good.

  • You don’t know if you’re expert enough.

I can help. I’ve been where you are as an aspiring author pitching agents, and I’ve also been a “gatekeeper,” so I know what it takes to get you ready for prime time.

Whether you dream of a traditional publishing deal or of running the show as an independently published author, here’s the one thing I’m sure about…

“Tiffany was hands down the best coach I have ever hired — and I’ve had a number of them. She zeroed in on my goal for my memoir and helped me execute it perfectly. I am forever thankful for her patiently ushering me into this world of publishing. After two weeks of querying, I landed the perfect agent for me!”

“Thanks to Tiffany, I currently have seven agents reading my novel manuscript! Prior to working with her I'd thought my query and synopsis were good but thanks to Tiffany, they are SO much stronger!”

“Tiffany is a dream editor: kind and patient but also critical and thorough. She has a unique ability to talk to writers in their worst moments because she’s been there too. I don’t want to imagine tackling a memoir without her counsel, so I won’t.”

TINA DUPUY

“Tiffany’s practical advice and common sense approach to writing, editing, and publishing have been invaluable. She helped me see that approaching agents and editors does not have to be an emotional roller coaster ride.”

“When I was stuck in the middle of a partially completed manuscript, Tiffany got me to ‘The End.’ I feel lucky to have worked with a published author who really understands storytelling. My work is richer and more nuanced as a result.”

My #1 FAQ

Can I guarantee you’ll get a traditional book deal?

Oh, hell no. Nobody can promise you that. I can’t even guarantee that for myself.

Truth bomb: My agent hated the last book I finished. And guess what? She is SO right. I may know how to write a publishable book, and I’ve even been interviewed about my book on national television and traveled around the country talking about it, but my most recent manuscript does not cut the mustard. I’ll tell you why:

My premise was not clear or bold or original enough (maybe a few parts were, but not enough of them). I was not burning to write this book. If I’m honest, I just felt the pressure to publish a new book, but I was having a heck of a lot more fun launching Undomesticated magazine and working with my clients’ books. They did have things to say!

I rushed it, I forced sections that weren’t working, and I kind of thought my agent and publishing house would see the hidden genius and save the day. I definitely wouldn’t say I half-assed it, but I did continue to the bitter end without ever getting clear on my “why.”

I basically did everything I tell my clients not to! I am here to assure you that won’t cut it, no matter how much experience you have.

Sure, I could have looked for a new agent or self-published, but my agent is right. The book sucks. Why would I want to publish a crappy book?!

Don’t phone it in.

Don’t publish a crappy book.

Don’t do it alone.

Instead, let’s do this together.
